PACKING LIST
Winter Packing List

The following is a suggested packing list. A good hint: If you can’t lift it yourself, then you’ve got too much stuff in your bag. Remember, it will only get heavier once you buy gifts and souvenirs! Try to use luggage with wheels.

There will be opportunities for laundry in Israel, so there’s no need to bring clothing for more than 11 days. (Note: You will need to pay for the laundry service.) LESS CLOTHES IS BETTER !

For exact luggage size and weight restrictions please view El Al’s Luggage Allowance Site.

Clothing
  • Long sleeve shirts and pants for eleven days
  • 1 Sweatpants
  • 1 Sweatshirt
  • 1 – Winter coat
  • 2 Long-sleeve shirts / Sweater
  • 2 Long skirts for Shabbat for girls
  • 3 Nice blouses/sweaters for Shabbat for girls
  • 3 Button-down shirts for Shabbat for guys
  • 2 Pairs of nice khakis/slacks for Shabbat for guys
  • 1 Pair of nice shoes for Shabbat
  • 1 Towel

  • Warm Sleepwear
  • Comfortable sneakers or walking shoes without heels
  • Warm wool hat, scarf, gloves , umbrella, rubber boots
  • Hiking boots (or sturdy sneakers)

While there is no dress code for the trip, we do recommend bringing some modest clothing (shirts covering shoulders, for women skirts covering to the knees, etc.) to wear on Shabbat and when visiting religious areas and sites (jacket and tie is unnecessary).
